Funerals & Celebration of Life

What is a funeral celebrant?

A funeral celebrant is a qualified officiant who will help plan, host and deliver the funeral or celebration of life for your loved one.  As well as conducting the ceremony, a celebrant will be part of the whole funeral process.

I will work with you to create a meaningful service that celebrates a person's life and that allows you to say goodbye, helping to choose music, poems and of course write the eulogy.

What will I do?

The role of a funeral celebrant encompasses:

  • assisting you in planning and organising the funeral, covering the order of service and music;
  • crafting a heartfelt eulogy;
  • presiding over and facilitating the funeral on the day;
  • providing support to the family throughout the ceremony.

How will we work together?

Planning a funeral and articulating the perfect farewell for a cherished one can be among life's toughest challenges. I am here to support you through this heartfelt journey and assist in paying tribute to your loved one.

New ways to say our goodbyes

Have you considered  'a celebration of life' or 'memorial' ceremony?  This offers a grieving family the chance to build a totally bespoke ceremony - in a location and at a time of their choice. This might be in your loved one's garden or on their favourite beach.

And lastly...baby and child funerals

This section of my website is intentionally brief.

If you are grieving the loss of a child, I am so deeply sorry. It would be a privilege and an honour for me to help you create a ceremony.
