What is a celebrant led wedding?
A celebrant led wedding or vow renewal offers complete freedom with no restrictions. You can choose to hold your ceremony at any time and in any location of your choice (as long as you have the necessary permissions, for example: asking a farmer for the loan of their field and of course the venue has to be safe).
The ceremony that you have in your mind's eye, can become your reality.
Having a wedding celebrant allows you to be creative and original with your ideas.
How does it work?
Meeting of minds...
A no-obligation call, you chat, I'll listen and guide and if you think that I'm the right celebrant for you then we can continue our journey, if not I'll wish you the very best. Finding the right celebrant is essential to ensuring that you know on the day 'all bases will be covered'.
The planning stage...
Once you’ve decided to book me, we’ll hold an initial planning meeting on FaceTime or we can meet in person. Talk through all your ideas and dreams, almost like creating a dot to dot. Once the outline is created, the dots can be joined and then the fun begins to fill with colour, joy and merriment.
Let’s dive into the details...
A few months ahead of your wedding, I’ll send you a questionnaire to fill out, first individually and then together. We’ll discuss the kind of readings and music you might like.
Let’s rehearse...
If possible, meeting at the venue for a little rehearsal is ideal.
Let’s celebrate your marriage...
I always arrive at least an hour early to ensure everything is set and ready to go.
After the celebration...
As a special memento, I’ll send you a beautifully printed copy of your wedding ceremony, along with a little something extra to express my gratitude.
Weddings Abroad...
My standard fee applies to destination wedding ceremonies as well (along with all the above services). Travel and accommodation expenses will be charged at cost.
Let's create...
Hand-fasting is a symbolic unity ritual in which a couple stand face to face as their hands are tied together - hence the phrase, tying the knot! As your hands are bound, you can recite special words that express your commitment to one another.
As your hands are bound, you can recite special words that express your commitment to one another.
Hand-fasting rituals are now often seen in secular, spiritual, and even some Christian ceremonies.
When two becomes one, unifying.
Any young people? They can add sand too!
Blend both sands.
A nice touch, creating memories and a great visual for guests too!
Embracing the yin and the yang, the bitterness of 70% dark chocolate with the sweetness of a sip or two of bubbly!
Demonstrate that you can handle the inherent duality of marriage. Seamlessly transition from the challenging aspects to the joyous ones.
Cheers!
